I go by the name of Qing Que and I represent QRYPTONIK RECORDS.

Music Production, Artist Manament and sometimes…Songwriting

Born in Sierra Leone(West Africa)

When did you decide you wanted to be an artist and/or producer? How long have you been seriously pursuing this as a career option?

Been artistic from a very young age. Attempted being a rapper about 15 years ago with a short album project but rapping wasn’t really my thang…picked up producing because I enjoyed it better.

After my lil’ stint as an “artist”, took a decade long break from music to pursue other goals. Re-entered the music industry with the formation of Qryptonik Records at the end of 2006, as a Music Producer/Manager.

Why did you choose to pursue music as a career? How did you get started?

I love creating music & also think I can help bring a “positive” message to the masses through music. I began by drummin’ on anything that will produce a sound….and writing on whatever comes handy.

Have you had any accomplishments or milestones? If so, what are they?

Had lots of accomplishments in all aspects of my life. Impossible to name all but, every second I live and breathe,every right note I was able to play, every song that I finish; every ear that listen to that music, every soul that I manage to uplift and inspire, every smile that I put in someone’s face, every help I was able to give to anyone deserving, and every day that I wake up to do it again, is a big accomplishment and a milestone in itself that I am very grateful for.

How has your experience been with Unsigned Hype? Has it benefited you?

G.R.E.A.T. Certainly, in a lot of ways.

How did it feel to win an Award at our Annual Award Show?

Surprising, but at the same time, grateful and appreciative.

What are you working on now? What are your future projects?

EP, Mixtape & Album projects for artists on my label and externally.

Near future: Albums for artists on my label plus a production & label compilation.

Distant future: Any major/independent artist within the Urban,Dance,Reggae & Pop genres that I have a good chemistry with,…I might be working on their project..

What advice would you give to someone who wanted to do what you are doing now?

Always be sincere in your business relationships/dealings. Stay focused and true to your artistic instincts regardless of what the “popular” sound is & keep working hard at it. Have a plan B…just incase the music thang dont work out to your expectations. Spend the money you make wisely.

Where do you see yourself in five years? How do you plan to achieve those goals?

Still doing music at a higher level and heading one of the most notable Record Labels in the industry. I plan on achieving this by consistent hard work and perseverance.
